Beef Sirloin

  • Five spice powder 20.0 g
  • Salt And Cracked Black Pepper
  • Olive oil 50.0 ml
  • Whole beef sirloin 1.8 kg

Asian Jus


Rubbing fragrant spice over the skin of a sirloin roast imparts a delicious flavour to the meat, which couples perfectly with a Japanese inspired jus.

Preparation

  1. Beef Sirloin

    • Combine five- spice powder, salt, pepper and oil. Rub mixture over fat on the surface of the sirloin.
    • Roast in combi oven at 180 degree Celsius for 1 hour 10 minutes. Remove and rest.
  2. Asian Jus

    • Combine KNORR Jus with 500 ml of warm water. Whisk together and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stir through KNORR Japanese Teriyaki Sauce. 
  3. To Serve

    • Slice beef and divide between serving plates. Drizzle with Asian jus and serve,accompanied with steamed greens and simple salad.
  4. Tip

    • This dish works especially well with duck or pork as an alternative.
