Preparation

  1. What you need

    • Select the number of serves you require for this recipe, and the quantity of ingredients will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
  2. To Cook and Serve

    • Slice each Turkish bread in half through the middle. Spread some butter on both cut sides of the bread.
    • Heat a large frying pan and place the Turkish bread cut-side down. Fry gently until golden. Remove from pan, then repeat with remaining Turkish bread.
    • On the base of the toasted Turkish bread, layer on the slices of roast pork and ham, a few pickles, and cheese.
    • Spread the mustard and HELLMANN’S Real Mayonnaise on the bread lids, then close to make the sandwich.
    • Butter the outside of the Turkish bread, then fry in the same frying pan—weighted down with a grill press—until golden. Carefully remove the grill press, then turn the sandwich over in the pan. Continue to cook the other side until golden and the cheese has melted.
    • Cut each Cubano in half and serve with remaining pickles on the side.
