The classic Southern-style fried chicken meets every punter's favourite. In this schnitzel recipe, we're first marinating the chicken in buttermilk before crumbing with spiced flour for flavourful results. Perfect with hot chips and Comeback Sauce.

Preparation

  1. What you need

    • Select the number of serves you require for this recipe, and the quantity of ingredients will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
  2. Schnitzel

    • Prepare the chicken breast fillets with a meat mallet.
    • Coat the fillets in buttermilk and salt. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours.
    • Combine the plain flour with paprika, garlic, onion and mustard powders in a bowl.
    • Drain the fillets from the buttermilk marinade. Crumb with spiced flour, egg wash, and then back into the flour.
    • Deep fry until golden and cooked through. Drain.
  3. Comeback Sauce

    • Combine HELLMANN'S Real Mayonnaise and chilli puree. Set aside.
  4. To Serve

    • Plate the fried chicken schnitzel with freshly cooked chips and Comeback Sauce on the side.
