Elevate this classic on-the-go snack to something a little special on your menu! Savoury pork and fennel sausage is wrapped in buttery pastry and topped with mustard sauce for a flaky, melt-in-the-mouth treat.

Preparation

  1. What you need

    • Select the number of serves you require for this recipe, and the quantity of ingredients will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
  2. Sausage Filling

    • Place pork and sausage mince in a large bowl together with onions, breadcrumbs, eggs, ground fennel seeds, wholegrain mustard, parsley, and ⅕ of the KNORR Rich Brown Gravy.
    • Season and mix well until combined.
  3. Pastry Roll & Baking

    • Place pastry sheets on a work surface and slice each in half.
    • Divide the sausage filling along the length of each half sheet. Roll to enclose.
    • Cut each roll in half, brush with an egg wash, score the top, and sprinkle extra fennel seeds.
    • Place sausage rolls on a large trays and bake for 25–30 minutes at 180°C, or until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Mustard Sauce

    • In a saucepan, combine water (300 ml per 10 serves) and remaining KNORR Rich Brown Gravy. Bring to a boil.
    • Stir through extra wholegrain mustard and whisk until smooth. Keep warm.
  5. To Serve

    • Plate the sausage rolls with mustard sauce drizzled over and red cabbage slaw on the side.
